It's too late now either way with shadPS4 running it almost perfectly.

Every game comes to PC at some point.

TIL we had a PS4 emulator running well.

shadPS4

The only emulator that gives every character a big ass.

Sony owns Bloodborne, Miyazaki can only be as involved as Sony allows. No way an exec doesn't know this lol.

There was a somewhat recent interview where Miyazaki said that it was Sony's responsibility to do it. Sounds to me that Sony doesn't want him to do it, and he might have blocked them from moving the project without him somehow.

Sure, but they dont own him. He can threaten to leave and sony no longer gets exclusive access to his work.

Then how the hell did Demon's Souls get remastered by a totally different developer?

[–] drasglaf 7 points 3 days ago

Apparently he doesn't care as much for Demon's Souls.

Just get the Bloodbourne Cart guy to do it.

It worked for the Sonic franchise.

She is a solo dev, I love her but I doubt that'd be a suitable job for one hobbyist

There will be no official Bloodborn release until it's announced as a PS6 launch title. Too much demand not to sell a whole system with it.

The PS4 is an x86 CPU... Is it really that hard to port over? It's basically a PC

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago

I have yet to see a PC port from an asian company that it's not an unoptimized mess.

Makes sense to me after the changes bluepoint made to demons souls ruining some of the visual storytelling, though a direct port plus 60 fps would be fine

[–] ace_of_based 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

What changes? I tried a quick search and didn't find anything about those, can you elaborate?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Off the top of my head the workers in the mine had their scales removed which implied they were turning in to Crystal lizards, flame Lurkers controversy which was changed between the trailer and release, the fat boss with a bird in his head was changed but I can't remember what, maneaters and prison bell ringers were pretty significantly overhauled.

They are details which seem small and don't affect gameplay but affect the lore which Miyazaki clearly cares a lot about

Thanks for the info, appreciated. Considering the widespread love for fromsoft style visual storytelling I wonder why that was even done. Cost cutting/time savings maybe?

Figure bluepoint artists taking their liberties which is fine from their end it's their work, but it isn't universally appreciated. (I really enjoyed the remake)
