MODERATORS

Hey, anyone know if mastodon.social still federates with Meta’s Threads?

(Assuming they have some common decency and don’t but just wanted to make sure.)

@[email protected] AFAIK it is. Certainly explains how it's still managing to be even more of a sewer on a daily basis. I blocked it ages ago.

in fairness that has always been Zuck's stance on women

Mastodon dot Social is our boy Gargron, who has been fan-boying Zuckerberg for as long as I've know about Gargron

So what would you think?

@[email protected] Getting A.I. to act like engaging people in the face of the masses getting bored and leaving or just not connecting as much, and now cutting out censorship and fact-checking.

Sounds like things are going great at Meta.

@[email protected] calling woman "household objects" isn't permitted on Facebook or Meta apps. They're just opening the fact checking progress to the community by doing what X did with community notes. The moderation against hate speech is still there.

@aral They do. I can still see posts from calm via threads for example

@[email protected] How unconscionable. So they must be fine with Meta’s stance on moderation.

@[email protected] I doubt they've even thought about it. Probably working on the reasoning that you don't have to engage with anyone from threads! For myself, I only follow calm on there, and no one follows me, so I have 0 interactions with threads even though there is federation.
