The pay per flight hour is how much you get paid for every flying hour. Which means from the moment the door of the plane closes before takeoff, to the moment the door opens again at the plane's destination.

I can’t imagine sleeping through a landing. The pressure changes, the jostling, everybody else getting up and getting all their shit and awkwardly standing around when they can’t go anywhere…

The cleaning crew waking you up on an otherwise empty plan would be really jarring though.

I managed it! As a child though. Maybe if you also took something for anxiety or nerves I could see that knocking someone out enough to sleep through landing.
