Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ

For the first time, I downloaded smth from steamrip, and the anti virus showed nothing. And I use McAfee which sometimes flags programs even remotely similar to viruses and such. So when McAfee didn't find anything, even after a manual scan, idk why but my dumbass thinks that's suspicious as all the time there is always a 'threat'.... Searched around a bit and found that steamrip is safe, but the posts weren't really recent, so is it actually safe or is it like pirate bay, was safe, yet now is, well, 'gone'.. Thanks
