It appears that they have scrubbed Reddit of Spez within Reddit. I know their search algorithm is crap, but I tried to search for him and got NOTHING. Spaz is the only reason I am here on lemmy. I check over on Reddit and it just continues to deteriorate so I am here to stay.
Imagine you're so sad, you create a filter to remove comments of people rightfully calling you out on the internet.
He called Reddit a 'democratic city' where discussions can take place. Well, sounds a lot like he's just a very intolerant mayor who wants to control the flow of discussions when they are about him.
Probably to hide all the comments that people replaced with shreddit

I love how only now are people realizing reddit is dogshit, it's been rotten at the core for a while. The end of Secret Santa marked the last bit of soul the site had.
When Victoria was shit-canned, that opened my eyes, and I didn't like what I saw.
Oh for sure, there were signs for a long time, but it was when they canned Secret Santa that it told me there were no more allowances for fun in the company, even if it barely cost them anything, even if it was just during one fiscal quarter, nope, no room for that -- they had to make room for precious shareholders and profit.
The writing's been on the wall a long time, and watching people who didn't expect it by now run around like headless chickens because "EEEEK REDDIT IS A SOULLESS CORPORATION" is a laugh riot.

The fact that u/Spez now has a negativity filter implemented is just embarrassing for the entire company. Glad I moved on.
I need a plugin or app to edit all of my posts on Reddit, so they all say "Fuck u/spez," or "Fuck you, Pig Boy."
Anyone know of such a thing, if it exists? For Windows / Android.
That could always be the next response to the grubs' fucking things up.
Power Delete Suite is probably the best I used. You basically just drag and drop a button to your favcorites bar that's actually a javascript applet (doesn't matter, just drag and drop it to your favorites bar and follow the instructions): https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite
I personally had to use a fork version that added a delay between each edit, because the original one were skipping some messages due it "going too fast" on the api
What do you think the tipping point is for the normies to abandon reddit and come on over to where the cool kids are? Hate speech and calls to violence aren't cool, but otherwise you should be able to say whatever you want about the owner of the platform.
