Hi guys, I've been following leaks about future GPU releases, and honestly been really disappointed with the Nvidia leaks, hear me out.
The 5090 (according to leaks of course) will have a 32gb VRAM with a 512 memory bus, which is outstanding.
However considering that most people (including myself ๐) couldn't afford a 4090, and the 5090 rumored to be at least $2000. The wisest choice is to a get a 5080. Usually 80 GPUs were around 90 to 80% the performance of their 90/ Titan GPU counterparts.
Unfortunately, the 5080, if leaks are true, will end up with 16gb. Yeah, from 32gb to 16gb. Half the VRAM for the second best GPU in the lineup. And also half the memory bus. From 512 to 256.
I guess Nvidia realized most people can't afford a 4090, let alone an upgraded 5090 with 8gb more VRAM. I think the 5090 is intended for business or the rich, not your average Joe. Instead the average Joe with get (if the price is reasonable) a 5080 with HALF the specs.
Honestly Nvidia has to be boycotted so that they make reasonably priced GPUs, and stop making garbage intended for the average Joe. But that won't happen (look at the GPU shortage during the crypto mining period and how people bought them regardless of the price...)
Thank you Nvidia, Thank you Jensen Huang ๐
