So, I’m notoriously bad at exfoliating my face. I’ve never really been a fan of the mechanical scrubs, and I normally have facial stubble. I intermittently use one of the green Korean exfoliating cloths on my nose and forehead.

I’ve been seeing enzymatic exfoliators here and there, and was curious if they’d be worth a try.

Any commentary, recommendations, etc?

I've noticed that many of the enzymatic cleansers and masks have a lot of preservatives in them. If you have sensitive skin this is a good thing to look out for. Take a look at the ingredients in this one by Seoul Ceuticals, quite a lot of stabilizing amd scent ingredients. Even with preservatives, enzymes can be unstable, so you'll definitely want to keep them in a skincare fridge.

But, I have to say that I really prefer aha/bha serums with a twice-monthly glycolic acid peel. I also do some dermaplaning, but if you're shaving then you are already getting some mechanical exfoliation.

Thanks for those pointers, I appreciate it! I hadn’t even thought about the preservatives and stabilizers.
