I am getting ready to build my first PC and already have most of my components delivered. I bought a TP link AX1800 with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth. But now the news if full of stuff about a looming ban for TP link routers. Would these same issues apply to WiFi cards? Are there security vulnerabilities for WiFi cards like are possible with routers?
I don't necessarily have high security needs but no reason to install a part that might not receive updates or other support in the near future, on top of (alleged) lagging security fixes.
It is hard to find a card with the same specs for a similar price. If it would make sense to get a different card does anyone have any recommendations?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
For reference here is my build list.
