Agreed, really love how much more engagement I’m seeing here. What’s cool is how this feels like the first days of Reddit way back in the day. No bots, etc.
This was the one on the list that I am probably most initially hyped for, I loved this game as a kid!
Super Mario RPG has my favorite music in the series, so I'm excited to hear it all remastered
Yoko Shimomura, the original composer, is back to work on it!
wow that looks great, looks modern but faithful to the original art style
My immediate response was "No fucking way!", followed by "How much?" and "$60?? Dammit, I'm probably going to pay that."
Don't forget:

Real Yaridovich doesn't use Meteor Attack or Static E or Bolt

When your items are maxed out, you only get to choose what you want to toss if you aren't in a battle.
This brought back so many memories! Can’t wait for this one!
Geno my boy... I can't wait for the updated soundtrack
Was not expecting this at all!
They actually did it, the absolute madmen. As a kid I rented this over and over from Blockbuster but never finished it. Maybe now I finally will.
Never played Mario RPG, but I'm down to try it! Should be cool!
Its really good. Turn based but has a timing thing for attacking and some decently hard fights. Fun story, cool characters, im very surprised tossed it getting remastered.
Soon you'll join the rest of us calling for Geno in Smash.
they still have the short stocky mario, this is amazing
A favorite of mine from childhood! My first experience with the RPG genre.
Same here! I don't know how many hours I spent unlocking every last secret in that game and there were so, so many.
I wish it was a sequel instead of a remake but remakes are much easier for a business to justify.
Probably easier to justify a sequel now that they've made a remake though 👀
It would be an easy low budget seller for them, this might be to check interest since it is a known property.
Interestingly Paper Mario 64 was apparently originally a sequel to SMRPG, there's some super early dev footage that got shown off at an expo that used the name "Super Mario RPG 2" for what was eventually reworked into the first Paper Mario
This is amazing. I never thought they’d remaster this game. I only knew about this game recently. Heard it was a cult classic that sat outside the mainstream despite being Mario in the 90s.
The original was also made during the peak era of Squaresoft at the time too so just that extra bit of lightning in a bottle this game sounded like.
I’ve played a bit of it on a miyoo mini recently and really dug it. Super happy to see this piece of news!
I never thought that they'd be able to negotiate a remake. This looks fantastic
I'm so hyped! I love that it still has the 2.5D Perspective.
oh shit, the best I was ever hoping for was a port to switch SNES. This is awesome!
I am certain these are the end times, because I was sure this was never going to happen.
Like... I'm worried there is a monkey paw out there that curled.
Remember when Spyro Reignited was released and it was frame-for-frame accurate and your muscle memory and auditory cues could just take over?
Do you trust Nintendo to do the same?
Yeah, it feels like they’re going to shove it full of loot boxes and DLC somehow. Luckily that’s not really how Nintendo does things.
This is one of my favorite games of all time that I am constantly going back and playing again.
So excited to see this.
Holy shit. Wasn’t expecting this at all.
This is one of my top games of all time- so excited!
So excited about this! It's a must-buy for me
I didn't know I wanted this. Pretty hyped for an old school JRPG with modern visuals.
I tried playing the OG version on the SNES virtual console and bounced off of it. I loved the remake of Links Awakening so I've got high hopes for this too.
This looks great and I know a lot of fans were waiting for something like this too. I never played the original but have heard nothing but good things.
Brb, gonna start a replay on my snes
Never heard of an Mario RPG before, on what platform was it, N64? (I never had, that's why I might not know about this game) The video confuses me, is everything there the new game or some scenes are out of the old game?
It is a full remake of the original Mario rpg that was on the SNES.
One of the last snes games iirc.
Oh damn, gues I was already hyped of Mario World these days, so I wasn't looking anymore for NES-Games. Thanks
Those rumors turned out to be true
Holy flirking schnit!
