There's definitely time to find here as I didn't get the best run through T1 or Spoon. Maybe I get a chance to go faster next week.

Very nice lap! It definitely looks like you tend to be a driver with really smooth and clean inputs, I tend to wrestle things a bit as least in qualifying I've noticed in comparison. I'm always fascinated by driving style differences between drivers while also being relatively equal in speed.
I just happened to have a set a new lap myself, just to give you a bit of a headache 😆
Yeah, I'm definitely from the school of Jenson Button. You seem more Alonsp-esque, throwing the car in with more rotation on the wheel then letting the car grip mid corner.
Things I'm taking from your video:
-Degna 1 is flat holy crap.
-Spoon cost me dearly.
If I sort just those two things out, I'm easily on the 1.29.x range.
Hah, funnily enough Alonso is my all time favorite driver and I have admired his driving style for many years.

I don't think I've ever taken Spoon curve in any game or car and thought I did it right, it always feels so wrong to me. I think that attempt was the closest I've been to feeling I got it right.
The 1:29's are clearly within grasp for both of us, I feel I left a few tenths on the table at the hairpin alone with the lockup and horrible line.

That's a great lap! I'm in the 1:31.2s at the moment. Getting a clean lap in whilst really pushing here is hard!

It's definitely a track you have to be really precise at (in this car especially) otherwise you go slightly off line and run just wide enough in places to dip a wheel in the grass and around you go.
Really really fun though, especially when you get it just right!
Looking forward to seeing if I can improve a bit more this coming weekend. I'm sure you'll catch up to me soon enough lmao.
I'm down to a 1:30.7, but I've realised I was running with Hotlap energy deployment. I'm pretty sure that's not the default though :/
You know....I may have ran in hotlap mode as well just out of quali habit.
I'll have to run again in the default mode this weekend and post that time just to be sure. I don't want any advantage haha

Edit - Though I would argue for hotlaps it would make sense to be able to use whatever default onboard controls the vehicle has imo.
It makes sense that the ERS system can be changed. It's one of those things that people can easily understand. Maybe I just change the rules there.

Just watched the video. Your line through turn 1 is lovely. I'll have to use that on my next attempt. I was amazed by how later you brake in to the hairpin, but then you locked up and I felt better about myself haha!

The MGU-H mode was on the "motor" so it doesn't count for this challenge but still that's the absolute most I can get out of the car!
I'm right on the edge of my ability through a lot of this lap, proper sweaty attempt.
I'll run in the correct mode for an official lap if I end up needing to, no worries there. At most the advantage was a few tenths as ERS deployment per lap is limited.
Moar people need to join up and give it a go!
That's a stonking lap mate. Hopefully I can find some time to attempt it later this week, but idk if that happens. I'd like to see what I can do with a better T1, Degna 1, and Spoon.

Hey, it's technically ended, but I've not been well of late and haven't caught up with life enough to be sorting out the next one, so I'd be happy for you to submit an attempt over the course of this week :)
Today should be the last day to set a time and a new challenge will come up tomorrow.

So far we’ve kept them to AC, but there was a poll a few weeks ago about what games the community had and it looks like AMS2 and Dirt Rally 2.0 may be options as well.
I finally got ams2 so once I can get my wheel setup in game I'm definitely down to give it a shot with the new physics

Discovered an official Fun Cup car mod for AC. That mixed with a classic British or BeNeLux track such as Brands (GP) or Zandvoort would make a nice challenge.
Group C cars (Really any of them) at Mugelleo
I'm unable to participate in this one (my rig is all taken apart) but for the next one a rally stage challenge might be cool if people are up for it.
