A federal judge on Wednesday threw out a defamation lawsuit against Fox News by a former Donald Trump supporter who said he received death threats when the network aired false conspiracy theories about his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection.

Raymond Epps, a former Marine, was falsely accused by Fox of being a government agent causing trouble near the Capitol that day so that it would be blamed on Trump fans.

U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Hall in Delaware granted, without comment, Fox's motion to dismiss the case.

"Following the dismissals of the Jankowicz, Bobulinski and now Epps cases, Fox News is pleased with these back-to-back decisions from federal courts preserving the press freedoms of the First Amendment," the network said.

The freedumb to fucking lie and propagandize the nation. Some real quality stuff there.

I guess libel and slander aren’t a thing anymore.

The only time the freedumb of the press isn't a thing suddenly is when it's a corporation, because money is more important than anything in the world.... Dominion voting systems lawsuit against Fox comes to mind... :/

Aww man, I was looking forward to watching Trump attempt to pardon an entire network.

so that it would be blamed on trump fans

Trump told the entire world on live TV that his followers were going to march on Capitol Hill, and then they did, waving trump flags. How much more fucking apparent does it need to be that it was trump fans who bore the blame?
