I was confused about how the spaceship was able to catch up to 1940s radio, as that would mean it was traveling faster than light, but then I realized the implication was that the nazis colonized space
Two Sentence Horror
Two Sentence Horrors.
The title should be the first sentence, while the body should be the second.
Keep it spooky.
I also had to think about this, but another scenario would be that 20 years after the voyage left Earth, the Nazis took over the planet and immediately started broadcasting propaganda. Those transmissions would take 30 years to travel 30 light years, which puts the reception timeline at 50 years since departing Earth.
For anyone intrigued by this sort of sci-fi timeline, I would recommend Liu Cixin's Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy, also known by the title of the first book, The Three-Body Problem.
Spoiler: The third book has a scenario where
voyagers initiate an event which takes two years to be observable on Earth, and this ends up saving humanity in the short term.
My thoughts immediately goes to the novel Contact by Carl Sagan, not gonna spoil it here, but look into the plot if you're interested!
