If you don't keep up your streak, Duolingo will keep up his.
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

These streaks are terrible. When I get to streak 99 or 100, I take a break from Duolingo for a couple of days so that I lose the streak on purpose.
I'm almost at a year. Very proud of myself
Still can't really speak German though
Streaks don't mean as much as how long you're actually spending learning, but at the end of the day you can't beat immersion.
Yeah, it is a bad tool for learning to speak a language.
I got a 161 day streak for Japanese and I can understand about 1 out of every 5 sentences watching anime now. But I literally never do the speaking lessons; just the listening.
I disagree with this. It can be used like any other tool. If you put the proper effort into it, you can be successful.
I'm doing their music course and it includes a song called Spanish or Vanish. With some lyrics, too.
This fucking shitbird...
