Finally upgrading my 10+ year old build and wanted some suggestions and thought on an upcoming build.

It will be used for gaming in 1440p. I mainly play dota but looking forward to picking up new games now as well that I haven’t been able to play (anything from D4 to fps games etc.).

As for the productivity part it’s a lot of photo editing but possibly some CAD and Sketchup (more for fun from time to time).

I’ve already picked up a 4070s which I got for a good deal and a 850w PSU. As for the rest I’m now looking at the new 9800x3D which may be a bit overkill but the 7800x3D is almost the same price here.

Along with that 64gb ram 6000mhz, AIO cooler for the cpu and I’ll build in my current chassi (fractal define R4).

Is it better to go for another cpu? Any and all feedback and thoughts are highly appreciated.
