Why would Kim send his best troops to fight for Putin?
If my 'ally' was pushing me to send forces, I'd clear out the brig and/or send the latrine orderlies who have been mouthing off, not the cream of the crop.

Members of the queer community don't deserve to be compared to that scum. Also: Putin disciminates against gay people. If you do as well, you're part of the problem.

North Korea has lived in an alternate reality for decades. They are now having to face the real world and it is not the picture their propaganda painted it to be.
With probably 8000 troops sent from an expected total of 1.3M, it looks like he did exactly that but may have sent an elite unit to test out something new, like tactics or materiel.
North Korea, and much of the world, is not ready for drone combat. Their "elite" were doomed no matter how much training they had in the old ways of war.
Maybe they aren't actually the elite.
It's A Classic Wartime Tale, Saddam did the same thing with Iraq's Elite Republican Guard 30+ years ago.
They were supposed to be the top tier of Iraq's forces and the US bombed them into the stone age with their opening salvo.
Don't mistake propaganda naming for anything other than it is. Dictator dick waving.
