I remember the days when BioWare wasn't EA's BioWare. Those were better days.

It's certainly "new" by the looks of it, maybe too "new" for many Origin fans.

I'm kinda getting sick of origins fans, tbh. they've been bitching loudly for two games now and there have been other crpgs to play since then.

they honestly can stop being weirdos and move on and let the rest of us who like all of dragon age have our fun too.

I was hyped so I was watching some old inquisition videos like the gameplay reveal. Original fans were bitching back then too, just the same constant "but it's not my dragon age". I'm right there with you. The most fun I had in origins was at camp. The combat was clunky, it was frustrating, there were many things that you were supposed to "just know" about early RPGs.

So I immediately take their reviews and throw them away. They have nothing actual about the game to say, just dragon age used to be good. K. Received. Moving on.

indeed. let us have our fun and go have fun with something else. So many big crpgs exist now.

bg3 just came out last year and its huge. go play that and leave dragon age fans alone to be excited for our stuff.

i can't wait to get my hands on Veilguard. I'm ready. I'M READY. 🙏

I'm holding back my excitement. I cant be excited. I remember Andromeda. However I did just finish replaying Inquisition on Sunday and I romanced solas and he has much explaining to do

...I am one of the rare souls that loves Andromeda. 😅 I literally play it more than the trilogy. its less depression inducing and the combat is actually fun.

Also i really hope they're not going to make me kill Solas. It took me a long time to warm up to him and I would prefer to not kill my friend. =( even if he is a jerk. he's like our jerk.

I actually did too - but I had to detach it from the original trilogy - which is why I think it got such negative reviews and why I'm eyerolling at all the negative ones here. Andromeda was a fun game. I'd say a solid 6-7/10. It was not original trilogy good where that was a 10/10 masterpiece, but Andromeda was fun. I'm more mad they left so many cliffhangers.

For me personally I liked the story in 1-3 because it was so depressing, it made the relationships stronger, and the ending was all the better. It left me with that bittersweet "it's over, now what?" feeling at the end of the playthrough. Andromeda for me was fine, it wasn't great, but everyone was so damn happy! There was no conflict to get behind, that was my only real issue, just that the characters weren't as relatable.

Which is why DA4 I want to keep separate. I'm not comparing it to previous games, it's its own game. I'm going to judge it on it's own merits. Did I have fun playing it? Did it continue the story well? It'll probably be different from the past games, but that's okay. If I don't like it I'll judge it on why I didn't like it, not just because it's different.

I didn’t like Origins. I mean, I like the idea of it but I couldn’t get through it. Veilguard looks to be in the same boat if not worse. Those weird faces in the cutscenes creep me out. The combat looks tedious. The general visual design kinda seems like Mass Effect for kids for some reason.

Someone recently talked about the next mass effect, and honestly with the way this is going i think they should shelve that talk until they're sure they aren't going under. They clearly don't have the talent/drive they used to have and EA has always been trigger happy.
