skilled work visas are dumb easy in the EU. In part, because the best international talent is fighting for getting into the US. Cuz ya know, you'll make 3-5 times the salary as a software dev.
But if you're the one who knows why you don't want that fat pay check and want a sane society instead, there are places like Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen. You don't even need to learn the language to move there and have a great professional and social life.
