And yet it’s still entertaining. I’m certainly enjoying it more than I did Wandavision (which tops the list).

Wandavision had a strong start and just got worse with each episode.
No
Great contribution to the discussion.
Yes
This was actually the correct response
Whoa whoa whoa, now. What? Seriously? I've been meaning to check it out, and that is high praise indeed. (Please, don't be lying, please 🤞🏼🥲)
I mean, it's subjective. I enjoyed the first few episodes of Agatha that are out, but it's definitely a soecific style that one has to like.
Wandavision was overrated. The first two episodes are great, then it just gets worse & worse.
The Malcolm in the middle/Modern family style episode was the best
i thought the halloween episode was amazing
You playing lemmy golf or something?
No. I watched it. Started high, ended low.
First two episodes were fun, the third episode was like a kindergartners puzzle box, it was embarrassing, hope it returns to form
The budget for most MCU films is ~$200 million, so most of these are a little bit less (ok $50 million less), but importantly this aligns with all the talk about the TV shows being treated like films.
I'm also curious how a film budget vs a TV budget breakdown.
I can only guess a shit ton of money was wasted unnecessarily. Like, if you have a $200 million dollar budget, you spend $200 million.
Where did they spend $150 M in Hawkeye?
I guess I remember one big outdoor chase scene, but generally I feel like someone embezzled $10 or $20 mill. Loki? Sure. Falcon and the Winter Soldier? Yeah, that had a bunch of locations and high-value actors. But seriously, how would one spend $150 million on Hawkeye? No disrespect, but I didn't see that on screen.
I wish I did. I unironically love Hawkeye.
I can only assume they produced (and ran for several years) the entirety of Rogers the Musical and just played the one part in the show.
But seriously I have no idea.
That is really funny!
You know, that stage show actually did run at Disneyland for about two months. What if that's actually it? What if they just used the budget from Hawkeye to underwrite the stage performance and call it "Marketing and Promotion" without having to dip into the theme park budget?? That actually doesn't sound too crazy to me.
Incidentally: my husband went to Disneyland to see Rogers! The Musical and said it was quite good.
Oh my God! I had no idea they developed a 30 min musical. It looks like there are recordings on YouTube so I'll have to give it a watch.
What about Ms marvel that had no big names very little big scenes and the effects were pretty basic. I have no idea how much it costs to film stuff but I feel like I could have made that for 50 mil.
How did SheHulk cost $225mil? Every moment of that series felt cheap, and the only big actor was Mark Ruffalo for 1 episode. Someone in production saw a chance to line the crap out of their pockets.
I mean, they had to animate Jen in lots of shots? Paying VFX artists costs money
