I’ve got an ASUS Zenbook with an i7-8565u in it and have noticed something annoying. When I’m on my cooling pad I have 48° thermal headroom but I’m throttled by Power Limits. I’ve thought about it and I think there are 2 ways I can get it to go faster.

  1. Undervolting - If I undervolt it, it should draw less power and thus have more power available before the 15w limit and go faster
  2. Disable Powerlimits - If I disable the limit it will draw until it either hits thermal limit or the MoBo taps out

Any ideas?
