That would be very very illegal. And weird. But holy shit illegal. (Was part of the Marine mammal education resource program over a decade ago)

Very illegal even if the animal were deceased.

Mr. Kennedy, he wrote, may have violated not only the Marine Mammal Protection Act (1972) and the Endangered Species Act (1973) — two seminal marine conservation laws — but also the Lacey Act of 1900, a conservation law signed by President William McKinley that prohibits the transportation of illegally gathered wildlife, dead or alive, across state lines.

Wow, yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be that illegal!

Yeah. If he still has the skull, there's the potential for prosecution.

He's probably trying to ditch it. Has anyone checked the ponds in Central Park for a partial dead whale lying under a pedal boat?

It also might be disguised as a pedal boat

If I had a nickel for every time RFK Jr. tried to take dead wildlife home with him, I'd have apparently a lot more than two nickels, and that's really fuckin' weird.

There was a time when I was astounded that he managed to get brainworms and wondered how it was even possible.

Perfectly normal thing to do. Not weird at all

Who doesn’t bring a chainsaw with them to the beach?

That article is packed with gems

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

That's damn weird.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

Come on. Who hasn't done that on a weekend trip to the beach?

[ I hope I don't have to put /s on that. But, yeah, just in case. ]

I read the story, and yeah, it checks out that's exactly what he'd do.
