Is it just me or was the animation particularly poor in this week's episode? I am on mobile or I would post screenshots, but there were multiple times that a character was speaking and they would frame the shot so that their face was just out of view; meaning that they could deliver whole series of lines with just a static image. The action animation was quite disappointing as well. That big guy with the four swords was taken down off screen essentially so that they didn't have to animate any of the actiony bits of that fight.

Also, this isn't animation related, but the story was weird this episode as well. If there has been this AI chatbot that has seen widespread adoption, why are we just seeing it now for the first time? Also the whole thing about pretending to be the guy's pet bird was a bit too silly for me in the course of a death game.

It must be one of those "student or junior/kohai production team" or "outsourced to the North Koreans to save money" things.

Storywise, it's pretty close to the manhwa, but with some scenes re-arranged.

Also, the snacks are different. Probably for copyright reasons...

Starting S2e38 if you want to check it out.

4-arms getting blasted on screen is what happens in the manhwa.

Off-screen was probably a better creative decision with the budget they had for this.

Perfect choice for the screenshot.
