Same thing as calling Trump weird, just a bit more costly.

Arguably it has achieved probing Russian border defenses for future NATO incursions, same as the attack on that nuclear warning radar

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

that's right, we're one step closer to NATO's wet dream of ending the world in a nuclear holocaust

I don't know, what was the special military operation supposed to achieve? Because it seems to have failed.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

What it's meant to achieve is the destruction of the Ukrainian army and prevention of Ukraine from joining NATO. Both of these objectives are very much being achieved.

NATO is growing stronger, Poland is growing an army that's honestly terrifying.

As this continues, Ukraine will continue to get better weapons while Russia keeps digging deeper and deeper into their cold war reserves.

They've already given up on their t-14s and haven't seen the su-57s lately.

I look forward to the t-34s coming back into service.

NATO is growing stronger, Poland is growing an army that’s honestly terrifying.

As a Pole, that's pure saberratling and illusion. Regular army is weaker than ever with old and faulty equipment, not enough recruits (on top of already greatly reduced numbers, like entire critical regions are manned by half strenght non-line brigades), corruption is greater than ever as evidenced by all big contracts being either outright failure (like Polish army managed to botch every single contract to buy helicopters ever) or mirred with many problems (like the F-16 fiasco).
Navy is basically barely existent at this point, we have more admirals than battle ready sea ships, zero submarines, the most battleworthy naval unit is the coastal missile battery and some landing ships (why we even have landing ships though). One single corvette that was about to spreahead the resurrection of Polish navy was in construction for 19 years and ended up not even as corvette but barely armed patrol boat. Core of the fleet are two old ex-US Perry class frigates but everything is doubtful about them, we even have to buy fuel for them in US, and when one of them actually managed to slowly creep out of port to recent NATO maneuvers everyone was surprised it even happened because it's very rare occurence. And so on and on.

What did got built is the Territorial Defense Army, but it's laughing stock. They have numbers and some decent equipment... for a light infantry without any support. They were designed to be PiS private army and their combat worth is probably around what you would expect from a politically motivated formation without proper heavy equipment - that is they are good for shooting the migrants on the border and were probably being prepared to squash the potential social unrest when shit hits the fan in Poland (though it didn't happened yet because Poles are the most domesticated population on planet).

NATO is absolutely not growing stronger. In fact, NATO has now been exposed as a paper tiger that can't even keep up with Russia on basic things like artillery shell production. The myth of NATO wonder weapons has been shattered as well, as everybody can now see how NATO tanks, artillery, HIMARS, and all the other toys are burning in Ukraine. NATO tactics utterly failed as was demonstrated by the disastrous offensive Ukraine attempted last year. And finally, the economies of NATO countries are now in a tailspin leading to increasing bickering within the alliance.

They’ve already given up on their t-14s and haven’t seen the su-57s lately.

It's pretty clearly that you live in a fantasy land and meaningful discussion with you will not be possible. You keep on believing whatever nonsense you need to believe, it's not going to change reality.

I'm sorry, you'll have to speak up, I can't hear you over the sound of Russia being invaded by the country it tried to invade.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh man wait till you learn how invading Kursk worked out for Germans last time around. 😂

Putin, after 10 days of Kursk catastrophe, summons Stalin’s ghost

Stalin: “What’s happened?”

Putin: “Nazis are at Kursk! My army is beaten! What should I do?”

Stalin: “Do like me 1943. Send best Ukrainian tropps to the front, and ask the US for arms”

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

lmao even western media openly admits Kurks is a disaster for Ukraine, yet here you are

https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-navy-bombing-destroys-russian-ferry-strikes-airfields-struggles-donetsk-war/

Russian residents reported on Telegram that after the attack by the Ukrainian drones, the military airfield looked like footage from an apocalypse movie. “It’s a serious tragedy, folks. This is serious stuff. It’s all fucking on fire. And it’s fucking smoke. It’s all fucking exploding. That’s it,” said one Russian while filming the scene.

None of those airframes are replaceable, Russia is surviving on its inheritance from the USSR, their entire defense industry is crippled by corruption.

But I'm sure all those t-34s should make a difference, who needs modern technology?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

You keep on coping there little buddy, it's adorable. I bet sinking a ferry is really going to turn the land war around any day now.

The hardest part is trying to tell the difference between the pictures of Russia before and after a destructive war hits it.

I'm joking, they're always the same picture.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The only joke here is you.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The joke is Russia, and the punchline is that the world feared them for as long as they have.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

How can I possibly argue with such a well informed opinion. You clearly have a grasp on what's happening as you've amply demonstrated here.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Right? They got rolled and now Putin looks like a bitch. I'm surprised the oligarchs haven't taken his ass out yet.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That's because you are utterly clueless just like your buddy here. Soon things will become clear even to the most dimwitted westerners though. Reality has a way of asserting itself.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Clueless? Projection much?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Remind me in six months. 😂

George Beebe is a former chief of CIA’s Russia analysis who served on Vice President Cheney’s staff from 2002-2004.

Why do these supposedly left hexbear/ml guys keep posting articles written by wingers?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

It's because the hexbear/ml guys are grown up adults who are able to engage with different arguments and perspectives even when they come from people we disagree with. It's absolutely incredible how libs are utterly unable to step out of their echo chamber.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

More like you want to read your opinion echoed back to you and you really don't care if it's in the words of a CIA/Cheney ghoul or Charles Koch shill.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago

If you have any criticisms of the actual content of the article then feel free to share them. Sounds to me like you're projecting here being only able to engage with opinions that mirror your own. The fact that the only thing you care about whose opinion you're reading as opposed to the content of the opinion really does say volumes.
