I just want to encourage anyone who needs to hear it to get help. It really helps.

Your regular doctor is a good place to start, or even urgent care. You can feel hopeful and alive again. I know.

I really know. Good things are possible for you.

I've started on antidepressants and they make me feel better but they don't stop me from wanting to feel bad

That's a great start! Good for you! Sometimes the medication needs to be adjusted, but more often there are leftover negatives thought patterns that ought to be examined.

Counseling is the perfect sidekick to medication, allowing you to address root issues while the fog has lifted.

Good luck 👍

Actively seeking depressing content is a sure-fire way to stay depressed. What kind of sad circlejerk is this place?

Get help. Outside of the internet, if possible. You deserve better.

Some have made peace with the abyss and cope in different ways. Traditionally this would be known as radical acceptance: this is just with a twist of humor as one would salt a radish. Acceptance hurts and adding the helpful layer of funny it makes those internal truths easier to bear.

Giving weight or taboo to these things simply make it a shameful subject for which people can be judged. This format is without that bias as to plainly relate to the internal depressive diatribe it itself is mocking.

FWIW you're right on all accounts this is a sad circle jerk but it's our sad circle jerk friendo
