Yesterday night I gave it a shot on Deck. It worked but characters were looking terrible. I didn’t bothered much but I’m suspecting it’s about how FSR works. I might wait for some time to Larian optimize few more stuff before going full Deck.

They are really quick about pushing updates though!

I turned off FSR and got better framerate and much clearer character and world details. Overall most setting at medium and the deck working at 12w and I get a solid 45fps. Native resolution.

I heard that they are pushing an FSR update in time for the PS5 release. Hopefully that fixes things up.

I’m not sure if it’s an update they did, but immediately on launch I got significantly better image quality despite having FSR turned on, but my framerate was a bit iffy. Good enough for me in such a slow paced game so I didn’t mind, but when I got on yesterday the image quality was waaay lower and my framerate was way more stable. Even turning FSR to quality it looks worse than it did before. I wonder if FSR wasn’t working properly at first, or why else it could have gotten worse image quality with higher framerates on the same settings.

For me the FSR sharpening Option was disabled, hopefully they fix it in the next update. The game itself ran fine, and the characters were also good looking during conversations.

I’ve been playing only steam deck since the full launch and it generally works fine but when I entered camp for the first time it got laggy as fuck for a minute.

I’m sure they’ve pushed an update since then (it wasn’t verified when I played last night) and I hope they keep optimizing it, it’s a lot of fun on the deck even having to use a cursor.

I spent like 20 mins on the character creator, then realized you have to customize a second one lol. Of course I had to make them both hot in case the game ever makes us fuck.

You could make one not hot in order to live vicariously through the character.

Is hero launcher still the best option to install gog games and keep them up to date or is there a new way?

Haven't really don't much with mine besides steam since shortly after I got it since it was too many hoops to jump through but for this I'll do it again

ProtonDB says the GoG version is totally broken right now. Will likely be fixed soon. Larian is really committed to making it playable on Linux.
