I've a sneaky suspicion Netherlands might give England a shock. I would prefer to see England go through but yeah they only seem to play at all when they go a goal down.

Basically I'm N Irish so yeah I support all the UK teams but I just don't like England's tactics/manager.

It wouldn't be a shock if the Netherlands won though.

Same goes for the Netherlands, though. They've only showed they can actually play when they realise they might get knocked out.

Even the English pundits are saying that giving England that penalty was a disgrace.

ref was fucking awful, probably overcompensating after being called out publicly and didn't want to fuck over England and went a bit too far in their favor

Bullshit penalty, I think we can all agree on that.

Not like the Netherlands deserved to win, they played quite badly. Just feels bad to go out like this. I didn't watch every game but this referee was the worst I've seen all tournament.

Really missed frenkie de jong and I'm disappointed Koeman didn't put on van de Ven or Frimpong.

Rooting for Spain in the final. Lesser of two evils but they play much better football and have a far more likeable team (and country).

This second half really turned into a snooze fest

Well somehow England got it, Southgates horrible management continues.

I'm still kinda convinced England don't even try until their behind or on extra time. I do kinda want to see them beat Spain but then again they'd just bring it up forever so I don't know.

It's frustrating because England played really well in the first half when they were playing positive and moving the ball quickly. And they've got the players to do that successfully.

Why don't they do that all the time?

I think they actually could and win the entire thing but Southgate has them drilled to only attacking in certain situations and he seems happy with even when almost anyone else would want to be at least 2 goals up.

I don't think anyone can deny England have amazing players the trouble is they only play when it meets Southgates OK.

I fully expect them to get knocked out by a late goal or one on extra time. I think the strategy mad and if it actually pays off I'll be shocked.

They don’t join the game until they’re a goal down. Once they’re in though, they play well and show good resilience until the game’s over. If Portugal had that resilience then the Slovenia game wouldn’t have gone to penalties.
