What's a halo meant to be, anyway? Might have to go and read about that.

Imagery likely derived from sun worship, maybe the corona during a solar eclipse. Interesting how things gradually change. Other places imply that a crown is supposed to emulate a halo, so maybe it's sun worship all the way down.
