Saved you a click:

It starts at $34,950, instantly making it one of the more affordable EV options in the United States. ... the EX30 will come in well below the average $53,000 price tag these cars command lately.

So tired of them

The article calls it a “compact crossover” and does show how much smaller it is than a Tesla Model Y

It's more of a slightly raised hatchback. What's not to like?

good god why do all new cars have cartoon wheels

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The actual reason is aerodynamics. The “cartoon” wheels squeeze more efficiency and range out of the vehicle

Though choosing to put contrasting highlighting color scheme of polished metal parts next to black surfaced parts is design choise. One could put uniform coloring on same aerowheel design. However.... ..... then how could everyone from mile away spot this car model sporting new energy efficient aerowheels.

I have no clue but car makers for some reason aim to put 22s on everything.

This. They're making dozens of them. An EV sedan or hatchback is more rare.

Well. Finally. Thank you for this, something new to research!

This is tiny though, compared to the others.

I think it looks pretty neat and seem affordable. Would love one, but currently don’t really have enough use for a car motivating the cost of it. We try to use carpools instead which more expensive per km, but overall it’s likely cheaper given how rarely we use it.

And while Mele confirmed the EX30 will launch with the standard CCS charging port, Volvo’s models will be able to access Tesla’s Supercharger network with an adapter in 2024, and that plug will be standard from 2025 onward

Too late, cars need access to the super charger network now

Next year is going to be interesting when it comes to cheap EVs, also because of cars such as the Renault 5. Plus used EVs with better ranges might become more affordable.
