Rules for Posting Guides on Our Community

1. Defining a Guide Guides are comprehensive reference materials, how-tos, or comparison tables. A guide must be well-organized both in content and layout. Information should be easily accessible without unnecessary navigation. Guides can include flowcharts, step-by-step instructions, or visual references that compare different elements side by side.

2. Infographic Guidelines Infographics are permitted if they are educational and informative. They should aim to convey complex information visually and clearly. However, infographics that primarily serve as visual essays without structured guidance will be subject to removal.

3. Grey Area Moderators may use discretion when deciding to remove posts. If in doubt, message us or use downvotes for content you find inappropriate.

4. Source Attribution If you know the original source of a guide, share it in the comments to credit the creators.

5. Diverse Content To keep our community engaging, avoid saturating the feed with similar topics. Excessive posts on a single topic may be moderated to maintain diversity.

6. Verify in Comments Always check the comments for additional insights or corrections. Moderators rely on community expertise for accuracy.

Community Guidelines

Can we get one of these for the rest of North America?

Surely they're not all morons?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 months ago

Sorry, they're all morons.

Well, not all those who live in cartel territory are members, but it's still a presence that affects their day to day lives.

Those in Utah that aren't Mormons still have to live by their rules.

In collusion with Sobeys, Rogers, and Bell

The gang and set structure is wayyyyyyy too wishy washy to do this sort of map in the U.S.

From my experience, it's common for several different gangs to operate in the same area with no issues, and when there are actual territories controlled it's usually on the neighborhood level and not the city or state level.

What's with Coahuila? Almost looks like the cartels intentionally stay out.

The posts with links says that the police are the cartel there.

I went and researched it on my own too, seems much more likely that those people that said that just want to believe it rather than that this state actually functions properly.

Per the legend, it's not clear of cartels as in much of the Yucatán peninsula, but has smaller local groups. The colors should probably have been made less similar to avoid confusion.

How can consumers boycott these criminals?

[–] [email protected] 34 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Don't consume fentanyl. Grow your own coca leaves and opiates if you do partake in those drugs. Buy American avocados instead of imported ones.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago

Oh yeah the avocado is spot on!

Support the legalization of drugs in your state and push your politicians to legalize them so that they can be manufactured locally.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 months ago

I do support legalization as it will reduce the stigma for getting help.

By smoking American weed.

Isn't "disputed territory" like the most dangerous gang?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago

Unironically kind of.

In solid gang territory you'll face extortion and violence and all sorts of issues.

Disputed territories can become literal war zones with massacre and war crimes that would make the Nuremberg judges blush.

That's not to say solidly controlled areas are safe, massacre still happen there too.

What is the golden triangle?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Ok. Now there is two... no four... no five... no six golden triangle I don't understand!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Maybe the real golden triangle was the koroks we launched into canyons along the way ☺️

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago

Who is the dispute with on the left, since there are no other cartels listed near it?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

"northeast"
