I dont like mini trams, they only have a reason to exist in low density walled garden rich communities. There will never be a use for small public transport vehicles like this in big cities.

They could be useful in small loops around shopping centres, hospitals, and theme parks, with a station that connects to the trains that get you out of the area.

Really more of a use as a people mover. Duke University Hospital used to have something like this but even smaller and fully automated that they used to link a parking garage with different parts of their hospital. It was eventually removed, though.

There’s also one about this size in Hawai’i, on Oahu. The main shopping mall there is two separate buildings and you can use this little automated tram to go back and forth between the two, for free. If i remember right, the buildings were in a way that you couldnt really walk from one to the other, so either get in your car for like a 2min drive, or take this tram.

Isn't this the Coventry VLR?
