I wouldn't be as worried about them going out of business and me being stuck with half broken car software.

They wouldn’t be selling them at their current price if they weren’t also selling every single privacy violating telemetric to the lowest bidders.

If their software was open source, they couldn’t obfuscate their tracking software.
