The Princess Bride.
One of the best films ever, 80's fantasy or otherwise.

Hard to choose just one. Willow, Krull, Conan and Red Sonja movies, Dark Crystal, et al.
So many to choose from. But Ice Pirates was one that I don't see mentioned a lot. That still stands in my memory.
This movie is an absolute classic. So janky and stupid but so much fun. Space herpes!
Hahahaha yes. The time travel fight is hilarious.
Also the starting point of a legend lol. I think it was one of Ron Perlman's earlier movies. Though he's been in a ton of good scifi/fantasy films. Not from the 80s but the city of lost children was another good one with him.
Legend. Or Excalibur. Both are awesome.
Krull gets an honorable mention for hanging in there after initially being a flop.
Excalibur was so bad ass! That's where I heard Carmina Buirana for the first time.
Time Bandits.
Hmmm,favorite? Hard call.
Labyrinth, Legend, Willow, and Ladyhawke have to be on the list.
But leaving out the Conan movies, Beastmaster, the Dark Crystal, and Krull seems wrong.
And then there's the Never-ending Story and the Princess Bride, which have to be near the top, if not the top.
But there's Baron Munchausen as well.
Fuck.
The Princess Bride is half comedy, so calling it a true fantasy movie may not be acceptable. But, it's the one I've watched the most out of all my favorites, and it stands as one of mu favorites of any genre. So I guess that is it?
How the hell is this supposed to get narrowed down?
Baron Von Munchausen !!!!!
How did he not know the obvious answer?
Neverending Story.
The Nothing haunts my dreams to this day
Probably this one. Willow was a great movie for its era.
Conan the Barbarian and The Princess Bride for me.
Yup those two for sure
I guess it depends on your definition of "fantasy". I'd take Labyrinth over Dark Crystal any day, but maybe that doesn't count?
The Beastmaster keeps popping in my head when I look at this, but I know it's not great. I just... remember it being on TV a bunch.
Conan the Barbarian, hands down, but Willow is a close second.
Star Wars
Labyrinth
Masters of the universe
