It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

This is maddening on so many levels.

Firstly, shame on these companies. Shut them down and fine the owners into bankruptcy.

Second, shame on the parent for not doing their due diligence before purchasing an e-scooter for their kid. Double-shame for buying one for an 11-year-old.

Lastly, shame on the UK for such draconian, out-of-touch requirements for these things. It's as if they are actively trying to make it as inconvenient as possible for anyone to use anything other than a car. Even their ebike laws are rubbish.

I feel your lastly should be the firstly.

Electric transportation is better for the climate.

Sometimes if feels like the English speaking countries are competing for first place in stupid.

Lastly could be firstly, but if retailers are being misleading it'll just end up making life with these PEVs so much worse, regardless of the laws.

These aren't toys, and if sellers aren't being responsible, then neither will riders.

nah, just fuck the people who made the laws.

Absolutely ridiculous that they are illegal unless you rent them from a company owned by a tory party donor.
