Yeah, Marathon is not going to do well in the long run. Marathon as a PvEvP full loot shooter is going to do the same thing all those games do:

attract the worst of the worst scum of the Earth players that will ruin the game for the majority of players and complain when the playerbase drops to less than 30% of its launch week in less than 6 months

be overrun with cheaters, again ruining the game for players

and then will forever be stuck with a low playerbase, eventually killing off the game for good
Whoever thought this was a good idea deserves to be dropped from the company.
