My cousin after hearing this: WTF. Collect the Dragon Balls.

He's the creator of the Dragon Balls. Without him, they are powerless. :(

RIP Akira. Not only was he a legend in manga/anime but also a huge part of the RPG boom and DQ and Chrono Trigger. I hope he knew much his art meant to people all over the world.

Fuck, man. DBZ was a huge part of my childhood. Toriyama is a legend.

Aw. Damn.. His work had an impact on so many, myself included. Really sad news.

As someone that has been a fan of his work for close to thirty years, I'm absolutely gutted. Whether you like Dragon Ball or not, you'd be a fool to not recognise the significance of what he had created, including work like Dr Slump and his work on Chrono Trigger. It's also sad that he has died without seeing the reaction to his latest work, so hopefully Toyotorou can continue his legacy.

First the Berserk creator, now this. I hope like with the first one, the series would smoothly continue carrying the light of their legacy.

Eh, looking at GT compared to Super, it's pretty obvious Toriyama was the driving force behind the series.

Without him, I have very low hopes that they can continue it the way he would.
