Actually let's figure it out on Google Wave
I hate that slack and Teams exist while Wave died for nothing.
Reminder that Google Allo launched a little over a month after they launched Google Duo.
Absolutely cackling, honestly I might save these screenshots so that when I forget what the current fucking names of these things are, I have a reference
It’s crazy how little they care for their branding. I don’t even try to remember or even know their latest product changes, I just got tired with them.
Can’t wait for Gemini Apps for Business
Not to be confused with Gemini Business Apps.
This is straight up hilarious!!
I am seeing at least 20 promotions in this screenshot.
Exactly my thought.
Churn is awful for users, but it is a great way to show "impact", and thus get promoted within Google. So, fuck the users, churn it is.
See also "launching a product that everybody knows is a bad idea".
Also, since it's very hard to get promoted for just keeping things running but possible to get promoted for shutting things down, even if they have tens of millions of users, there's the evil twin of unnecesary launches: shutting down popular services.
Soon they’ll rebrand the company as a whole to Googleplex.
