Almost everyone I know, including myself, has been on some sort of antidepressants. And none of the people ive talked to feel any better than before they started taking them. Does anyone else find it weird that doctors can just hand out these prescriptions like candy when it seems many times all they do is make symptoms worse?

Edit: I’m sorry, I have trouble putting my thoughts into words. My point is that many doctors are giving out pretty much any medication to anyone without a second thought. Im not saying antidepressants are always bad but it just seems like doctors arent making sure theyre the right fit for everyone they prescribe them to, which (in my case) was really damaging, and is potentially for many others. It just seems careless. So theres not much strange about antidepressants, more so the people handing them out.
