Hi everyone! I'm a 22 y/o guy whos hoping to start his apprenticeship at IBEW local 236 this year. I do have a question in regard to taking time off though.

Im an avid gamer in my spare time and I like to travel to big gaming event 3-4 times a year. Generally these events go from Friday to Sunday and are announced at least 4 months in advance.

If I let a contractor know that I'd like an unpaid Friday off many months in advance will they usually be fine with that? does anyone from this local have any experience with this? Any advice/insight is appreciated!
