Sup.

So friends asked me to add a light in their hallway. There is a 2 gang near it and it controls a light and 2 fans. They wanted me to remove the fans from the switch and have them be constantly hot so they can use the pull chain. They were all spliced in the lights junction box. So I removed the 2 fans and spliced them in a different junction in the attic. Cool, easy money. When I wired the light back up it wouldn’t turn on anymore. I checked voltage and it was reading 12v.

I don’t understand. Even if there’s an open neutral why wasn’t it causing problems prior.

Any idea’s ?
