I’m a residential apprentice in Washington state. I just left my former company for a place with benefits, PTO, holidays and much more. I will be staring at 28 p/hr (4 more then previous and w/ zero benefits.) I’m 1 year in and feel like I’m in a great position to continue in this trade and card out next year. My wife and I both hoped this would be the hourly I’d land at the new place and yes I know. The union is much higher and simply put, I really like resi work. One year in the trade and in happy with this new trajectory.
