I've been in the trade for over 10 yrs and a foreman for 3+ yrs and have lot of experience in everything except in Industrial/Controls, I feel so out of my element, feel like a 1st yr apprentice again with all the dumb mistakes I'm making and of course my foreman thinks I'm an idiot. The biggest issue I'm having are the crazy hours, never done the traveling gig before but despite the money being good I'm miserable and will probably just join the IBEW since my hall organizer said that I can test in since I have my license.
I don't get it, I've never talked to any of my apprentices like they were morons because they made stupid mistakes, I made a lot of dumb mistakes as a 1st year until I no longer made any mistakes, it just sucks that I haven't vibed with this guy and the worst part I'm stuck with him for another week since I'm far away from home lol.
I'm feeling like a failure though since this is prob the best opportunity I've had, I just can't physically and mentally do the two week 10 hr thing, I can do 48 hrs but I'm not cut out for working all this overtime and feel that I'd rather be homeless than working myself to death because the foreman wants to suck up to the boss.
