Johnson & Johnson has sued four doctors who published studies citing links between talc-based personal care products and cancer, escalating an attack on scientific studies that the company alleges are inaccurate.

J&J's subsidiary LTL Management, which absorbed the company's talc liability in a controversial 2021 spinoff, last week filed a lawsuit in New Jersey federal court asking it to force three researchers to "retract and/or issue a correction" of a study that said asbestos-contaminated consumer talc products sometimes caused patients to develop mesothelioma.

Hopefully the judge doesn’t just toss the suit, but sanctions J&J for this. Fuck everything about this suit.

What? Asbestos is well known to cause mesothelioma. What the hell is this suit based on other than bullshit?

True, but ...

One particular issue with commercial use of talc is its frequent co-location in underground deposits with asbestos ore. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talc

Truly disgusting conduct from J & J.

It really seems like a fishing expedition as they are claiming that 'some or all' of the patients in the studies were 'exposed to asbestos from other sources' (instead of J&J? in addition to J&J? its not clear) - but then they are asking the patients identities be disclosed - so how could they know that?

They want to attack and harass and discredit the patients themselves now.

J&J is trying to sue facts. If they win, it'd set a precedent for other companies to sue and win with their own truth. Fuck J&J up their stupid asses.
