Does this person really need a drivers license? My answer is a hard no!

Do y'all have some overly complex test? I know we're a bit forgiving over here. How hard could it be?

No. It's multiple choice, mostly common sense with a couple of bits to memorise (braking distances etc) but it should be very easy to revise for and then sit the exam.

50 questions, multiple choice answers. 4 possibles, 1 is always really daft so it's really 1 of 3. A couple of video clips with multiple choice answers. Then a series of video clips where you need to react to a hazard developing. Bicycles swerving in front of you, horses in the road etc. There's even one clip that has 2 swans crossing the road.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

A learner driver failed the theory test 59 times before finally passing after spending £1,380 and taking 60 hours, the AA Driving School has said.

Another person clocked up 55 unsuccessful tests in Guildford, Surrey, while someone fell short of the required standard 53 times in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Figures published by the Department for Transport show the pass rate for theory tests has dropped from 65% in the 2007-08 financial year to 44% in 2022-23.

It evaluates learners’ ability to anticipate potential dangers in a timely manner, with a pass mark of 44 out of 75.
