I feel like we should be focusing on religious hatred of others before we try to tell everyone else to be tolerant of religion. Why SHOULD people tolerant a religion that preaches non-believers be killed? And I'm aiming this at all Abrahamic religions. Terrible, violent, dogma.
Here's a study showing Christian fundamentalism was positively associated with both violence approval and acts of intimate partner violence https://www.jstor.org/stable/20778531
I imagine its similar for Muslims.
Fuck religion. How about NATO does something about the intolerance of religions? Then and only then should we think about tolerating religions.
Right? It feels like the West is (slowly, tumultuously, two steps forward one step back) moving toward being more tolerant of different people and less tolerant of intolerance, except when that intolerance is due to religion. Then it's just "cultural differences" and should be respected???
What? It's burn a Quran day already? Where you where does time go.
