i agree with the cause for boxer popularity, but boxer briefs are superior to both imo.

Oh wait, I might be behind on my terminology. What is the difference between boxers and boxer briefs? I think of boxers as the ones with legs, but they are tight. I just realized, according to american movies, that the shorts-style boxers might be popular? Boxers that are not tight fit. Am I correct?

Yeah idk, the shorts style loose boxers were somewhat common among friends in my teens (EU), but I never understood it.
I'm talking about the "sport boxers" aka boxer briefs that are elastic and tight fitting but have legs
