I'm with you on this. We've got the interesting people. The BS ones are too lazy. It's too much work for them to come here and shit on everyone (for now).

While I do agree with y'all. I feel like it should be stated that BS people will always be there and on the internet; however, there is and with be BS instances. As already shown.

Also, what I didn't notice on my skim of the article, but it really worth noting: Mastodon is the easiest/best way I’ve found to follow Lemmy users. If that's something people were looking for.
