I've seen numerous posts with f*ck and shit like that around here.
Why the self censoring? Is fuck a "worse" word than shit? Do you censor yourself when you talk verbally?
Just seems funny that on a post about saying whatever the fuck you want online, you say "Ive seen the word fuck before" without actually saying the fucking word.

I'm not censoring myself. I'm saying I've seen multiple memes that had fuck written as f*uck with the asterisk and I'm criticising that... and saying that Lemmy isn't immune to this bullshit.
Ah right, sorry about the misunderstanding there mate. I agree wholeheartedly with you. I find it so strange, especially when you consider - f*ck has to be the word fuck. It can not be anything else, making the self-censoring effectively pointless.
Yeah. It's a pet peeve of mine. Either write it out in full or don't bother. Censoring yourself like this is dumb as ~~heck~~ hell.
I sh*t you not, I've seen people self-censor the word hell.
