The older I get, more I agree with Magneto.
More like, the older the character gets, the more they update his backstory to be something the audience can sympathize with. Because a villain for villain's sake gets old fast.
More like when characters get away from Stan Lee and into the hands of better story tellers they grow.
We have Chris Claremont to thank for Mangeto not being generic villain of the week and actually a character who in his own way is fighting injustice.
