While the Canadian government insists that the Flipper Zero is one of the reasons behind the current surge of car thefts in the country, Flipper Devices, the company behind the devices, says the gadget can't be used to steal vehicles built within the last 24 years.

Absolutely mind-numbingly dumb.

This sets such a bad precedent and worries me for our nation's future.

Not only dumb, but aren't Flippers made in really limited quantities? I've missed the past few drops because of how quickly they sell out

And you can't really use a flipper to steal a car. Anything made in the last 30 years will have rolling codes, which the flipper doesn't mimic, and anything before that you're gonna have to break mechanical ignition locks.
