I picked it because all the other instances asked a bunch of questions and then you had to wait for approval.

at a guess, I think its because I'm using Jerboa for Lemmy but I don't know for sure, I haven't done anything to become one.

There is some settings in Jerboa where you can mark yourself as a bot, you should be able to tick it off.
