Name someone who has a better chance to beat Trump.
Bernie, if he chose to run, which it seems he's firmly decided not to. But, if he did, he would (imo of course) probably defeat Biden in the primary, and then completely obliterate the general.
The drive to find a viable "outsider" is stronger than ever, and Bernie has that, while also having a pretty firm lock on the moral high ground to shell Trump from. Biden has unfortunately lost that edge, due to his staunch support for Israel, which many of us consider to be the incorrect position in the modern day and are trying hard to pressure him away from.
I don't think Bernie wants to, though. I think he's okay supporting Biden, all things considered, and is also getting rather old himself. He blazed the trail that other progressives will have to follow to keep that torch aloft, and someday carry it into the presidency.
Sanders is older than Biden, so if we're arguing that Biden is too old to be president, Sanders is definitely too old to be president. I don't know whether he has a better chance of beating Trump or not, but on the subject of age, which is what was just brought up, Biden is a year younger than Sanders.
Yes, I am aware. I was focusing on Sanders' advantages as opposed to his disadvantages. I think the advantages would strongly outweigh the disadvantages, despite the disadvantages existing.
I like bernie and supported him but I held my nose and voted hilary all the same. I really don't see him running at this point.
Bernie would lose a great number of center votes. The guy was praising Chavez and Venezuela not that long ago. It is easy for him to suggest all these programs when he knows there is no way to pay for it.
Yeah, no one in their right mind would write all that.
World is a big place, get out more.
Ok, dad. Let me put in my crazy cap first, it's cold outside.
Your biology will continue to change too, son, we're not done growing at 18. Or even 25. Your experience will also increase as you meet more and more people, and the importance of compromise as a virtue, not a vice, will very likely become more apparent.
Especially if you ever have to parent a teen. That's a really fun one.
Sure, as long as you aren't denying the crazy.
Not at all. All the best people are a little crazy. The others are too often dull.
According to the recent polls, literally any other democrat.
So you think Kamala Harris has a better shot?
That doesn't really follow.
You're saying that no other democrat would poll worse?
So, Jimmy Carter would have a better chance of being elected? Hillary Clinton? My 70-year old rambling uncle?
Your pretending to be dumb, except I don’t think you’re pretending
Marianne williamson, Dean Phillips. Both are on the primary ballot.
Ah yes, famed politician Marianne Williamson, who has previously talked about defeating Trump's "dark psychic force".
Marianne Williamson is a woo-woo peddler who is in no way, shape, or form suited to be elected to dog catcher, let alone president and Dean Phillips is Representative (no Representative has ever been elected president) who is such a shitty politician that he under-performed Biden as an incumbent in his own district in 2020.
These are not serious answers.
Being a Representative is not any criteria for dismissing the validity of a candidate. You could use the same logic to dismiss a female candidate, a Pacific Islander, and more.
Not even close. Experience is relevant when seeking a job; gender and ethnicity is not.
And neither has any real possibility of being the nominee much less defeating cult45.
Have you seen the polls?
Biden isn't the best chance against trump.
trump is the best chance politicians like Hillary and Biden had/have at becoming president
We're 1/2, and polling for round three is a lot worse than last time.
You still didn't name someone. You lose.
Trolls just gonna troll
Literally any other democrat.
Such as, specifically?
The poll asked who would you rather vote for. Democrat voters said they would rather vote for “any other democrat”
Quit making stupid arguments and repeating back your MSNBC garbage
Lol
Kamala Harris.
But it's weird you think Biden is wrong and he's the only one that can beat trump.
And expect me to defend Biden's statement.
Is this one of those times moderates tell someone they should know better than listening to a moderate politician?
She's not popular enough by far. She kinda fell off once Biden was elected and hasn't had much of the spotlight. That's a problem with name recognition with voters. Also, what's she accomplished that most people would know of?
The issue is incumbency bias: winners are perceived to be able to win again. That and she's VP. If anything happens to Biden, she becomes president. For that reason alone she's a terrible candidate for a democratic primary. Biden would then need a new VP candidate for the election which would be further scrutinized.
yeah. im worried she will be running for 2028 and lose. its sad but her best bet is biden dies in office.
Well, maybe you should go ask Biden for his list of 50 other Dems...
Then tell him he's wrong and doesn't know what he's talking about, but also he's the only one that can win despite polls showing he's not even that well off against trump.
I'm over the cognizant dissonance his supporters keep insisting on. No idea why people think the correct response to Republican bullshit is doing the same thing as them
Lol. You have no answers and the feeble ones you've tried are easily debunked. You're not trying to get a better candidate you're trying to sow dissatisfaction.
Ah yes...
Recognizing an issue is the same as causing it to some people.
I thought that ended with the Salem witch trials, yet here we are.
It's snowing here now, just like the weather person said it would. Should I call him up and demand he shovel my driveway? He saw this coming, so clearly he caused it by acknowledging it. If he'd have just pretended it was going to be 70 degrees it would be a nice day out
Harris has consistently polled below Biden and has had the lowest rating of any VP for decades.
So who is polling better? Name names
